My name is Melissa, and I am a Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers. For more than 20 years, I have been truly passionate about helping others, and I feel honoured to support individuals as they work toward healing, clarity, and positive change.

My practice is built on compassion, respect, and a deep commitment to meeting you where you are. I believe that every person holds the capacity to heal — sometimes we just need the right support to unlock it.

A Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW) is a regulated professional registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). RSSWs are trained to provide counselling, case management, and support services, and are held to a strict code of ethics and professional standards.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings, counselling can help. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit. Many people find that proactive support helps them navigate everyday stress more effectively.
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our practice. What you share stays between you and Melissa. There are very limited legal exceptions (e.g., imminent risk of harm), which will always be explained to you at the start of your first session.
Absolutely. All session types — individual, couples, and group — are available via a secure virtual platform. Virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person and offer greater flexibility for those with busy schedules or who live outside the local area.
Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes. The number of sessions varies based on your goals and needs — some clients see meaningful progress in 6–8 sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. Melissa will discuss a recommended approach during your initial consultation.
Yes! Melissa offers a free introductory consultation so you can ask questions, share what brings you in, and see if it's a good fit — with absolutely no obligation. Just fill out the contact form or give us a call.
Yes. Melissa believes that financial circumstances should never be a barrier to getting support. Sliding scale fees are available based on individual need — please mention this when you reach out and Melissa will work with you to find an arrangement that feels comfortable.
